MyLecture.ai is an educational website where you can browse courses, standalone lessons, and research-paper explainers, then watch, play, and practice. When the site is open to the public, you can browse and watch catalog content without paying. During early or invite-only access, we may require joining a waitlist and signing in before you can use the catalog. An account still unlocks extras like a profile, starred library items, and ratings. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
Information you provide
- Account: If you sign in, we store your email address, authentication session, and a public username you choose after signing in to finish profile setup, through Supabase Auth.
- Waitlist: If you join our waitlist for early or gated access, we store your email address so we can notify you.
- Library and favorites: When signed in, we may store courses, lessons, and research papers you star or save to My Content, along with any star ratings you submit. View counts for courses and lessons are anonymous aggregates and are not tied to your account.
- Creation tools: If creation features are enabled for your account, we may store prompts, chat messages, and generated lesson content associated with your account.
- Payments: If you subscribe to a paid plan when billing is offered, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We may store a Stripe customer id and subscription status linked to your account, but we do not store your full card number.
Information collected automatically
We may collect basic usage information such as pages visited, device type, browser type, and referral source. When Google Analytics 4 is enabled, the site uses IP anonymization and does not enable Google ads signals. Events may include course or lesson identifiers and basic interaction context, such as whether a video class, interactive session, or practice activity was opened or completed. They do not include account emails, user IDs, prompts, answers, or free-text content.
Enabling GA4 may involve cookies or similar storage depending on Google's implementation and your region. This site does not currently ship a consent banner. In regions that require prior consent for analytics cookies, analytics may be turned off until a consent flow is available.
Cookies and session data
Auth session cookies keep you signed in until you sign out or the session expires. When GA4 is enabled, analytics cookies or local storage may also be used by Google as described above. Advertising cookies are not enabled by default.
How we use your information
- Provide browsing and playback of courses, lessons, and research explainers.
- Maintain your account, starred library, ratings, and related preferences.
- Operate waitlist and early-access features when offered.
- Process subscriptions when billing is enabled.
- Improve site reliability, performance, and content.
Sharing and retention
We use service providers such as Supabase (auth and database), Stripe (payments, when enabled), and hosting or CDN providers as needed to run the site. We do not sell your personal information. We retain account and related data while your account is active and as needed to operate the service.
Your choices
When the site is open to the public, you can browse and watch catalog content without paying. During early or invite-only access, we may require joining a waitlist and signing in before you can use the catalog. You can sign out at any time.
